Motors

540 Johnson/Mabuchi standard replacement silver can metal endbell motors, Motors may not be modified or tampered with in any way.

Batteries

  • Any approved 6 cell Nicad up to 1500 Mah, stick side by side or saddle configuration.

Gearing

A Final Drive Ratio (FDR) of 4.1:1

is recommended at the MRCCC track for stock silver can motors

  • Calculating Final Drive Ratio
  • FDR = (Spur / Pinion) * Internal Ratio

The Internal Ratio of the chassis should be given in the manual, you can also check out site like http://www.gearchart.com for some useful utilities to check your gear ratio, just double check that the internal ratio they use matches your car.

Kits and hot-ups must be assembled as per manufacturers instructions
Any Novice driver may race in this class with any combination of motor or batteries But this will be at the race directors descretion and in the spirit of Fairness
